Q. Where is your sea moss sourced from?
A. Our raw wild Organic seamoss is sourced straight from Carriacou the Isle of Reefs off Grenada in the Caribbean sea. It is collected and harvested by a family of fisherman and divers. It is washed and dried naturally absolutely no additives or preservatives.
It is then shipped directly to myself. So don't look for the source as Kayak Moss is the source.
Q. Is seamoss vegan friendly?
Q. How long does it take for order to arrive?
A. Orders should arrive within 3/4 working days. And we currently only ship to UK and Ireland.
Q. Who can take seamoss?
A. The whole family but it is advised that pregnant women or anyone on blood thinners or Iodine suppliments should not consume it. It is not to be used by under 5's, and a child over 5 would have a much lower quantity.
Q. How to store your dried sea moss, and for how long.
A. It has to be stored in a cool dark place, and can last for 1-3 years, depending on quality.
Q. How to store prepared sea moss gel, and for how long.
A. It needs to be stored in a sealed glass jar (not plastic) in the fridge which lasts 3-4 weeks, it can also be stored in the freezer for 3-6 months.
Q. How do I prepare dried Sea Moss into gel?
1) Remove your sea moss from the package. (It will have a slight smell). Thoroughly rinse your seaweed preferably with spring water.
2) Soak with key lime and spring water for 3-4 hours. then rinse off and fill a bowl again with key lime and spring water and place your sea moss in the bowl and soak for up to 20 hours,
3) After soaking, drain water from the bowl. You will notice it has lost some color (almost translucent) and has expanded up to 2x its original size.
4) Add your sea moss and fresh spring water to a high-speed blender and blend for 1-2 minutes until completely smooth. Pour into a glass jar and place a lid on top. Store in the refrigerator until it solidifies.
Q. How much sea moss can I have Daily?
A. The recommended daily dosage of sea moss is about 1 to 2 tablespoons, start off with 1 tablespoon.
Q. How do I consume Sea Moss?
A. You can mix it in with smoothies, porridge, soup, an additive when cooking, and also a thickening agent in cooking.
